For me, art is about witnessing, being witnessed, and taking up space unapologetically. No matter what medium I’m working in, my aim is to fully and authentically tell the story I’m being entrusted with.

As a poet, I value craftsmanship, boldness, and vulnerability. I take micro-encounters and examine how they fit into grander narratives about life, love, and humanity. These microcosms of human nature serve to show us that we really aren’t that different after all.

As I choreographer, I value curiosity and the relationship between movement and how the stories we have internalized affect the way we move not only on stage, but in the world. My work is intricate and layered, with unpredictable rhythms, ebbs, and flows. I am influenced by the things I read, see, and experience and then abstract them into movement in an effort to translate the language of my world into something I can understand.
